td42 turbo manifold.

Hey guys, after todays towing adventure, i have decided the td42 needs a turbo whacked on.
But, I cant get a hold of a manifold and any wrecker I have rang, they will only sell me a complete engine.
Does anyone know where I can get a manifold from in Melbourne? Or perhaps anyone have one laying around they want to sell??
Thanks.

you can buy the turboglide highmount manifolds for about 510 to your door from them direct, eastern turbocharges wanted 750 for one!

The GU ones are hard to come by, wreckers wont sell them on their own.
I might try that AXT place in Dandenong see what they charge.

apparently nissan sell high mount manifolds to suit the LHD TD42T and were about $800. I would go with a DTS lowmount from MTQ unless looking to run a "BIG" turbo.

Or if you have no luck with
them, PM oondy on here - he'll do you a good price and is very efficient.
Dieseltec can help you with water/oil lines in a complete bolt-on kit form. (VERY handy).

Racetec in dandenong make a top mount turbo manifold for tb and td42 .Was pretty pricey though $950 and an extra $400 if you wanted it ceramic coated but with that said you also have to make a custom dump pipe blah blah blah

Probably wouldn't help that (quite possibly after the group buy
) they are now easily available (eBay). Supply and demand i spose.
I have a brand spaking new one here i'll sell to you for $599.95 ex GST....
(not really, i'm keeping it) I should have bought a few from the group buy, cause now i'd be able to resell them and go on holiday with the profits.

Yeah its a bit of a pain. I had one and decided to sell it a few years back. That was $340 or so. Then I got the quote for another for $330 + gst so didnt rush to get one with your group buy. Now the prices go up :(
I think at $660 I would rather spend the extra cash and get a 6boost or etm manifold made up for a few hundred more.
Im sure a 2nd hand one will pop up somewhere.

They do every couple of weeks. I've also noticed a few complete turbo kits about the place too (mainly eBay).

I'm thinking of selling my extractor style manifold that was custom made by Sandy Bowman at Aust4x4.
Anyone interested let me know (brand new)
