98 GV Ground Clearance

What is GV ground clearance on all stock inc stock tyres 235/60/16? Try to find out hw far mine had sagged.

I don't have an answer for your question, but the question you are asking won't really help because it's not easy to measure.
The lowest point to the ground on a GV will be the rear diff centre, and unless by sag you mean you've got flat tyres, that measurement won't mean anything.
Which "next" point on the chassis you choose to measure from opens a can of worms.
The correct way to measure ( which removes tyre diameter, tyre pressure or tyre wear) is from the top of the rim to the top of the wheelarch.
As an aside, coil sprung cars with correctly placed bumpstops don't really "sag." I'd be surprised if it's dropped more than 10mm from new, assuming it's not carrying more weight than stock.

Measure from the centre of the hub to the top of the wheel arch and then go here
http://rvcs-prodweb.dot.gov.au/pls/wwws ... ify_Search and do a search for your model and you will find the same measurements when new. When doing the search set 'STATUS' to 'ALL' and you don't need to fill in all the other info, just fill in the Marketing Model e.g. Grand Vitara.

hmmm - I understand the theory of measuring from the centre of the hub to the wheelarch top but that's a location that requires a guess to get right when your standing at the car, which is why I think the rim edge is better.

Yes, but the centre can't change and it's pretty easy to find as well as the fact that the figures for a stock vehicle are done this way so at least you have a direct comparison otherwise you then have to also measure the rim diameter and halve it and then add that to your measurement to be able to compare back to the stock figures. If you are just checking between before and after lifts or between various vehicles for comparisons sake then off the edge of the rim is quick and easy.
