Outer Limits 4x4 Board

gday fellas,

i think there is somehting wrong with my idle on my nf pajero. its a 2.6 4cyl shorty with the carb, and the idle keeps playing up. when i was driving, and pulling up at lights, it would keep surging between 1000 and 2000 revs in a repetative manner, and i took that to a mechanic and he fixed that, but then after work i tried starting it and it wouldnt start because it couldnt idle, and would 'conk' out, so i tried giving it revs when it started and it was fine. it also shudders and shakes really violently when it shuts down, could anyone tell me what is wrong?

air leak into manifold, PCV valve jammed open?

so would replacing the pcv valve possible fix this issue?

to test, just disconnect the hose and block it off, if the engine runs ok then replace or clean/soak the pcv valve in petrol

i disconected my manual throttle and its running fine now.
how do you know if you need a new clutch?
you cant take off from stop? haha
