mate I don't know much about that motor but I have an adaptor plate here to suit 3sgte to 1hz 5 speed (h55 box) in case the pattern is the same

3sgte that's the celica 4cyl engine yeah ? can't imagine bolting that up to a 1HZ box in a cruser, there'd be a lot of spare room, seems like an odd combination to have an adapter plate for

the 3s-gte were out of the import sw20 mr2's or the gt4 celica's they are the turbo motor pretty odd to bolt one into a landcruiser maybe someone was gonna use a cruiser box in somthing else

Im sure there is a white hilux with blue stripes thats getting around Victoria Pt area that has a 1J turbo in it. I dont know if it ever hits the dirt but it is quick.
It would be a good conversion. Marks adaptors seems to have all sorts of adaptor kits.

not a bad combination - 3sgte to 1hz 5 speed.
I was planning to run it in a jimny, after seeing the thai guys at OBC.
the 1hz 5 speed is a pretty strong box and is very short making for good front mid engine layout. the spline on the box matches the 3sgte clutch plate too.
I had the adaptor built.
