Best way to get more flex from leaf springs

Im not at all happy with the rear end flex in the MQ, The front is ok as i wasnt expecting anything great anways.
Wat is a good way to gain more flex?
Im gonna take out 1 maybe 2 leafs from each pack in the rear, though this will have graet affect on hieght. Am thinking about putting a 1 inch spacer block between the spring pack and the leaf pack to gain an inch to make up for it ( MQ is SOA ).
Wat other ways are there to get better flex?
Climax drop shackles? or those new swivel ones ive seen around?
are these any good?
cheers,

You will find that once you do the SOA that you will get a lot more axel wrap. What i did to counter this and get good flex was to remove the # of leves you want and then put a fat load bearing leaf at the bottom of the pack. This gives the spring pearch more support therefor reducing axel wrap. Also putting in a spacer block may lead to more axel wrap.
The best way would be to remove the leaves and seee if you need the spacer then make up a traction barto suit.

Before you go removing leaves etc check the basics
pull the packs apart make sure you minimise the friction as much as possible use a graphite based paint or put in teflon pads
Use the clamps that are open with a bolt across the top and not the ones that just bend aroud to hold the pack in place
make sure your shackles are well greased and not over torqued
Give this a go you will have spent bugger all $$$ and a lot of the time this will make a pretty good difference and a added bonus of improving the ride
If that doesnt do the trick then check how the supension cycles make sure nothing is binding and the shocks are long enough
Then if you still need more I would look at getting new springs with the right height and spring rate

My springs were standard SOA and still got axel wrap

Is there a formula for working out spring rates for given weights, applications etc etc

OK, the Truck is SOA now, been like that for a coupla months. My shackles are fine as when the springs are at full flex the shackles are fully extended.
I have cut off the clamps that hold the pack together to get more flex out of the packs and i was testing it with no rear shockers.
I am considering taking leaves out of this pack as its a 2 inch lifted pack and is stiff.
I am also considering just taking the whole pack out and putting the standard pack pack in the rear.
Though i think i will lose alot of rear end hieght doing this. wat are ur thoughts on a 1 inch plate in between the pack and diff to make up the hieght?
Also thoughts on wat i should do with the packs.
Am also considering taking leaves out of the front too..........
