1989 GQ 4.2 carby petrol engine. whilst driving around normally everything is great. But at idle it runs really rough, then stalls. I can keep it running at about 1300 rpm at traffic lights but runs rough. I'm sure it's a fuel problem but not quite sure what the cause is. Thought I'd ask if anyone else has had the same problem.
Thank's in advance

i had the same problem i took the air filter off then gave it a rev and choked the carbie with my hand and a rag to clear any blockages (but hold on to the rag tight) i done that a few times then poured some fuel straight down the carb and it cleaned it out it worked fine after that

Had same problem with my 91. Turned out to be blocked idle jets in carby.$60 for carby kit ,plenty of carby cleaner, problem fixed. More horsepower and better feul economy as abonus. Well worth the time &money
