Old glow plug

Post by me3@neuralfibre.com »

Would anyone on the west side of Brisbane have an old Glow Plug for a 1HZ I could steal to turn into an air injector for leakdown testing?

If it means a lot to you you can have the air injector afterwards :)

Thanx

How do you pull the element out of the housing?

I'm guessing brute force and ignorance

Oh - and a drill press & vice.

Then silver solder on a brass fitting.

Open to other suggestions however.

I've reefed the element out before when the housing became seized in the head. That sucked.

If one from a 2.4t 2L engine is the same i have one kicking around you can have. Let me know, otherwise perhaps give a diesel workshop a call.
Cheers,
Dan.
