ONly had a quick look at it tonight, but is there an easy way to get the bush out of the front end of an IFS rear??? preferably just the metal sleeve in the middle, as then the original pin off mine will fit straight in?...

Or if you're really dodgy like me you could fill half a coke can (with top torn off) with petrol, light it and set up spring over it. After a while (and a lot of smoke) the crush sleeve will fall out. When this happens you should be able to push out most of the rubber (don't burn youself). Then out with the hacksaw and cold chisel and remove the outer sleeve. Easy hey!

Yeah the joy of having 2 cars. If my lux isn't going on Monday morning, I don't go to work.

So you do what needs to be done

The coke can idea sounds like a lot more fun
but thanks tom, turns out my mates father owns a rather large hydraulics company with a well equipped workshop, and he's offered the use of the press to me
Got the shackles, and got some new bushes, belted the pins outta the the old shackles and into the new, look pretty trick.
should have them on by the w/end now

get up some pics in members asap...
