i would probably say not, but best thing would be to visit a GOOD R.T.A. certified vehicle engineer.

Ive also seen that disco on ebay, ive heard no and yes, i'm going to fit a 2.5" bodylift to my rangie with airbags anyway, but i think i shoudl be able to get ti engeneered, apparently if everything in regards to the srs (ie pretensioners sensors etc) are lifted and work as the manafacturer intended i cant see why it cant be engeneered
thanx fellas

THANX FELLAS, with regards to RRV839's comment do you happen to know the location of these pretensioners and sensors? I also no nothing about the operation of the airbag (only what can cause the deployment) so i ask what is this etc you speak of please m8? As I would like to make it fully operational (drivers only airbag), having survived a bad accident early last year an airbag would've been more than helpful compared with a sports steering wheel that broke bones and split me open. All because a lady couldn't give way for 3 more seconds. Gees sorry fellas little bit off track there. It's probably been said 1000's of times but it's true the info shared and gained on this site is invaluable. Imagine trying to chase it up without it?

Its easy to trace airbag components, the wiring loom for airbag compnents is bright yellow split tubeing (ie: don't touch) The airbag sensore are located in the engine compartment, on the Rh side it is between the battery and the radiator and a/c pipe run above it, the are a red square plastic box, on the lh side it is under the coil next to the horns, however with a bodylift, because these are attached to the body not the chassis, will be lifted anyway, its the wiring is what you need to make sure of, the srs computer is under the centre console box, and the pretensioners are part of the seatbelt mount, they are an explosive which when a charge is sent to them, explode and lock the seatbelt, preventing you from moving forward as the airbag deploys. If you are going to lift an SRS equiped vehicle i highly reccomend using the 2.5" les richmond kit made by white tiger becasue the kit includes all mounts and brackets to lift the pretensioners, bumpers etc everything aswell as being braced back to the chassis. They also include blocks to go under the cargo area which is not supplied with any other kit.
$790 is expensive for a body lift, but when you see how comprehensive it is and how strong it looks, if anything will be legal it will be not some poly blocks with metal crush tubes.
Do your reaserch have a look at the airbag components (but dont touch/disconnect anything unless you have had the battery disconnected completly and there is no way it can accidentally be reconnected for at least 10min
AIR BAGS KILL MORE MECHANICS THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN AUSTRALIA - DON'T TAMPER WITH THEM IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!

The 97 Disco shouldn't have crash sensors in the engine bay. They were fitted on the 95 MY but afterwards just relied on the decelerometer under the centre console.

sorry i neglected to read the yearmodel, i was talking about pre 95 disco an RR's., but in that case, nothing to do with the sensors should need to be modified. Yes the kit has brackets to remount the radiator and shroud. The only thing in relation to the srs sytem to be changer would be the pretensioners/seatblets, in which case the white tiger lra kit has all the nessacery stuff for it. It has everything you need, t/case shifter extension, etc, lifts bullbars and standard rear bars (there is a seperate kit if you have an aftermarket rear bar)
Here is the site adress for les richmond automotive (LRA) - gee i dont even work for these people haha, anyway:
