I can't decide whether to get a commercial snorkel for my sierra or to get one made somewhere depending on how it looks and is put together.
So what do yous think ?

save some $$$ and make your own. i think custom snorkels look better on zooks anyways. if you can cut pipe with an angle grinder youl be able to make 1.
i used a pvc reducer to connect my airbox to my 3 inch stainless pipe.
il get some pics if you are intersted.
cheers

search and you shall find my friend.....
This is probably the best most recent DIY snorkle thread around for zooks. East as pie mate. Airflow bumped their prices recently, so not worth it when you can make your own for under 100 bucks.

as you can see i used a pvc reducer to downsize the pipe. the corrigated pipe is off the intake off my mates pranged vp commodore. this allows a lil flex and movement.
but if you cant weld the pipe together like i have you can use rubber bends and hose clamps

Next time ill be doing it in reverse start at walhalla finish in seaton that way ill get to do all of the steep parts but ill need to do some mods before the zook is ready.

At this stage it's gunna be my daily drive plus 4x4in so it ain't goin to be a comp car anytime soon.
Just the usuals like dual batterys, drawers, fridge, uhf, arb winch bar with a winch from hobzees, small lightforce lights, 2 inch efs suspension and 29 inch bfg muddies so yeah more about mild rather then wild.
