I know i'll probably get flamed for this... lol... but my mind is ticking over and my hands are gettin ancy cause i havnt been spinnin spanners much lately...

see i've got a leftover LWB in my shed that i used for parts, and i also have a V8 sitting in the corner of the shed that cranks FU*#%N HARD!!!! neither of which im really using and im thinking of combining the 2....

Spoke to the engineer about it and after about a 2hour yapathon and some guidelines to follow he said go for it

Should i?? or am i barkin up a tree that will just ultimately ruin a truck and destroy its off road capability flame suit on

alloy or cast iron block?

thinking weight up front u may want to move engine back on chassis as much as possible

suppose thats one way of turning a zook into an unreliable shitta.

Sierra Chassis + V8 = Scrap Metal.

Really by the time you finish bracing the hell out of the chassis that will handle a
V8 that cranks FU*#%N HARD!!!
you might as well put a Sierra body on something built for that amount of power. A sierra chassis twists under it's own weight let alone anything else.

lol nice =) haha

i reckon too much weight up front and too much power in the back - especially for a swb, and more especially for a zuk. If its for shits and giggles then sure why not - but to drive on the road, might be outright dangerous!

there is a zook up here with a V8 ( a Cleavland i think) straight gas, but it is on a bundera chassie

what engine are you using? what do you want to use the car for?

the ls2 weights about 95 kgs not much more than a 1.3 but the box is about the same again. it would kill the sierra chassis as they were never designed for that sort of power.

dont let peoples negitivity destroy your dream. it may not work great but hey you already have the parts there not like its really gunna cost much. would be sweet.

i just wanna see a crazy V8 zuk haha. juts make sure you stengthen the chassis up, and go for gold

to true.

you can't call it a zook when the only thing zook about it is the body.

it's a hilux

Then thats like putting a hilux body on a suzuki and still calling it a suzuki even though it looks like a hilux. It looks like a suzuki so why shouldnt i call it one. Im sure someone else will look at the work involved in swapping to hilux diffs transfer/motor, and see the sense in keeping the chassie and just swapping the body. It really is a peice of piss to do.
The way i see Its about 1/3 hilux, 1/3 VN commodore and 1/3 suzuki
so its a mutant without a home

Depends how the car puts it down. I play with a car that makes just under 400hp and it scares the hell out of me.

It looks more like a zook to me than any of the zooks running in Tuff Truck and comps alike that still have zook chassis numbers..... I say we call it a commodookilux :D

the thing about using a hilux chassis, is you loose all hte good things of a suzi, and what does it drive more like. a hilux, so i say its a hilux. so at the end of the ay you have a hilux that is not as comfortable and has less space.
but hey i am not saying dont d it. im all for people doing crazy conversions. but yeah i still say its hilux

its a lux

but at least now its a good looking lux ;)

drives like a vn with 6.9 diff ratio. or at least thats how it feels, its got 4.88 ratio diffs. really short gears, still sits on 110 without revin too much.
just got some 34 JT2's for it so that should bring the revs down for the same speed. I like the sound of commodookilux

it runs a hilux chassis, it's a hilux.

it'd be like bolting a patrol body on a tank, and trying to convince people its not a tank.
