Hi guys, we are offering a group buy for outers memebers. We know times are tuff and everyone is after a better bargain, and we figure if sell more we can afford to make them cheaper.
We are offering a 35w standard kit with a 12 month full replacement warranty (on globes and ballasts) for $154- or
A 55w kit also with a full 12 month replacement warranty for $165-
The globes are all uv cut (so they won't discolour your lenses) and are manufactured by phillips. The globes and ballasts are all mud and water proof (just don't take them deep sea diving, we sell torches for that) and they have a less than 0.7% failure rate.
We need a minimum of 15 confirmed (payment received) orders to offer this price and if we get more than 20 we may be able to reduce the price a bit more.
Post or PM me if you are interested. (or just let me know if there is another HID product you would prefer me to souce as a group buy for you.)

Is the kit 2x bulbs 2x ballasts ect? If so I will be interested in 3 h4 55 watt kits. Let me know closer to cut off if you need more numbers and I will see what I can do.

I would buy 1 x 55W H4 kit(as long as its HID low and high) as well as 2 x H1 kits.
My commitment is assuming the same as above 2 lamps/ballasts is what i call a kit.

Interested in a 55W kit to fit Lightforce 170 spotties ... again would like clarification exactly what the kit is (link to detail page would be good) ... ie 2 lamps + ballasts per kit? High only or High/Low? Bulb temperature?
Might even go 2 x 55W kits if they fit Lightforce XGT Blitz also

as above regarding the definition of a kit.
The price is alot lower than your website. Are these the same lits or a lesser quality and if so by how much.
Also do you carry spare bulbs, ballasts and other bits for these kits like you do the others or are they all interchangable.
how long are the leads or do we get a choice.
Put me down for 2 x 55w 5000k kits to suit ralley4000's if its all good.
cheers smitty

Yes we are talking HID kits, a kit consists of 2 bulbs, 2 ballasts and wiring loom (although we would advise upgrading to a good quality wiring loom if you don't already have one). The offer is for single beam kits only no high / lows, just give me a call or pm me and I can give you an idividual price for a hi/lo kit. The kits are not exactly the same as the ones pictured on our website but they are the same quality and have been put through the same rigerous testing. The prices on our web page are currently out of date and we are waiting for them to be revised. We have restuctured the business and are now only selling direct to the public instead of to the trade, therefor reducing our prices. Also our buying power with our overseas manufactures has gotten better and we are passing the savings on. If there is anything on the webpage you like but are not sure on the price just contact me for the updated prices. Most items are considerably cheaper.
Colour range is available from 4200 to 30000, but we recomend from 4200 to 6000 with a persoal preference for the 5000k. If you specify the colour we will order in for you.
Yes generally we do carry spare globes and ballasts, and yes they are interchangeable but they do have a full 12 month warranty. The globe leads are about 200mm and the ballast leads about 180mm, we are working on extension leads for them.
Regarding the lightforce lights, the globes are not a direct swap but we do have adaptor kits with new cnc machined alloy heat sinks to fit a std H3 globe (these are top quality kits with full instructions) and if you buy with the hid kit they will cost $38.50 (for 140, 170 & 240) or $49.50 (for xgts, these include adjustor shims so you can set your xgt's up as spot, spread or driving lights)
FYI the 35w kit puts out about 3200 lumens and the 55w puts out about 4480 (this does vary slightly depending on the globe colour)
Cheers

I think just PM on4tou with confirmed orders. Once he gets enough numbers then he can PM us back with payment details. I suspect he'll reach the 15 confirmed orders readily enough - I've put my dibs in on 2 55W sets + Lightforce 170/XGT adaptors

PM me if you are definatly interested, include how many, what colour temp (if you are unsure we will just order 5000k) what globe type and what wattage. If you include an email address and suburb for postage (if required) when we reach our 15 requests we will email you an invoice with account details for payment, then we will advise you when they will be in for pickup or delivery.
Already have 5 kits confirmed through pm so at that rate I will be sending off invoices over the weekend.
I wil look at setting up a group hi/lo buy after I get this one sorted (1 thing at a time otherwise I stress the wife out too much and then I can't live with her)
Cheers Guys

Can you get the kits with H3C bulbs?

Well then guys, I have sucome to the pressure (and my computer meltdown) and I have contacted the supplier regarding hi/lo kits, I am still negotiating the final price with them but they are willing to supply at a cheap price a sliding hi/lo kit. (I haven't imported these before so they have not been tried and tested) but they still come with a 12 month warranty and the manufacturer assures me they are very reliable. Otherwise jump on the web page (
www.hidrus.com.au) and have a look at the product code H4HK35-70 which is our premium h4 hi/lo kit and if we can get 10 orders we can do them for $550-, and this includes a 2 year warranty (that's how sure we are of this product). I'll let you all know when I have prices on the sliding kits.
cheers
Steve
PS, yes we can get H3C kits

Hi all, thanks for your interest.
We have reached our 15 required kits.
We will email invoices out with payment details over the weekend, so if you haven't already done so please pm me your email address.
If you haven't received you invoice by Monday please pm me and let me know so you don't miss out.
The invoice will include the globe type, wattage and colout temp. If you haven't specifiesd a colour i will put 5000k. Please check all the details are correct so you get the right kit, we will be ordering straight off the invoices. If you are converting lightforces and you need the adaptors please make sure these are included on the invoice. If you need your kit posted please make sure this is included (otherwise you can pick up from me at Somerville Vic, On the Mornington Peninsula).
If you haven't registered your interest yet but you would like to order a kit it is not too late, just send me a pm and we will be able to accomodate you.
I don't like to sound so formal but if we can make it work I may be able to do something similar on a semi regular basis, so for those of you who are interested but are suffering from post Christmas bank balance syndrome, I might try for another one in a couple of months, or I might be able to hit another supplier up for some of the int ballast hid spotties.
Let me know what your interested in and we'll see what we can do.
Cheers

Hi Everyone,
Mrs On4 to U here. While Steve is finishing up his radio show I thought I might advise you all of what we have sorted for the hi/ lows (despite my request to please wait)
Our standard kits (top quality, honestly couldn't tell you the last time we had one fail) 35w $442-, 50w $550, 35/70w $550, 35/50w $442. ( the 35/50 is not a true high low, it is only a single beam that is 35w on low beam but the ballast pumps up to 50w when you switch to High so although you get a much brighter light you don't get a great deal of extra distance) the 35/70 is the ants pants and what we run and recomend, it is 35w on low beam which stays on when the extra 35w high beam globe is switched on (giving you 70w total of extreme light) but without blinding oncoming traffic on low beam as it is only 35w, we don't get flashed anymore than we we did when we were running the 90/100 halogen globes. the 50w is 50 on low and changes to the other globe for 50 on high and we got flashed very regularly when we ran these. We have been dealing with this supplier from the start and the kits are A1 top quality and we offer a 2 year warranty with them. That's how sure we are of there reliability.
We also have a cheap alternative from the same supplier as the single beams (but we haven't tested them so they will only come with a 12 month warranty) They are a sliding globe which means the globe changes position from high beam to low beam ( and I'll be in trouble for writing this but this style (moving) has failed on us in the past(different manufacturer and a number of years ago so technology would definatly have improved) but we can do them for $220- per kit 35w only they are not available in anything higher. Yes they are a lot cheaper so may be worth giving a go. If you are interested let us know and we'll see if we can get enough interest to include in the group buy.
Cheers all
Gill.
PS Anything in this post is subject to Steve's final approval because he is the boss

Not trying to be bah humbug on this as it is a good deal but keep in mind the legalities for rego.
For a vehicle fitted with low beam gas discharge it must also have self levelling, headlamp washers and the test for gas discharge head lamps themselves (ADR's 13, 75, 77 & 78).
Self levelling and cleaners are not required when just using high beam or driving lamps.
Also, just converting a H4 compatible head lamp to gas discharge doent mean it can meet ADR's77 & 78 so if you get pinged them you may have to do a head lamp test unless it has been done for the kit and ADR approval has been given.
Just food for thought for those modifying headlamps.

Thanks for your comments mkpatrol, we do want people to fully understand the legalities of their purchase. You are correct regarding low beam, high beam and auxilliary lighting is all free, but the same also applies to a 90/100 halogen globe as you are not permitted you increase your low beam wattage by more the 30%. Any mods to low beam have to be adr approved regardless of weather you have self levelling headlights and washers.
We started the group buy as spotlight upgrades and have only extended to headlights because of the number of requests for them.
I'm sure a lot of the guys on this forum (myself included) have bigger legality issues with their 4wds than the headlights and if you keep it sensible (35w, 5000k) you shouldn't have any problems.
I don't know of anyone who has been defected for running hid headlights, all the defects I know of have been pulled for up not having rear mudflaps, or oversize tyres.
Cheers

Quick question:
Will these fit H4 lights (classic rangie) and how much will shipping to NZ add?
Can someone also advise on what colour temperature's are required to get rid of the blue sheen?
Posted: Sat Jan 17, 2009 6:15 pm
by on4tou
Our Dual filament H4 globes will fit in place of any std H4 setup but you might need to check how much room you have behind your headlight if you are interested in the cheaper sliding type.
Postage to NZ should be about $20- approx.
4300 - 5000k is the whitest light. 6000k has a blue tinge. About 4800 is the colour temp at midday.
Cheers

No dramas, I dont know of anybody being defected either but as these sorts fo things are becoming more common they are bound to be picked up as a defect or a modification during an inspection in the future.
At least for those that take notice it wint be a surprise
