can anyone tell me how to find the interior fan resistor. iv lost all fan speeds bar maximum and off. please help

I'm pretty sure if you remove your glove box its in behind there. Its a metal boxy shaped gadget about 4cm cubed. My fan wouldnt go past the 2nd speed about 5 years ago and i replaced that and all was well..
