ok, as search is broken and i have not got my zook here,
can someone confirm this is the same as a normal SWB tank?
and also is there a way of installing an electric pump in non coily tanks?
Thanks

Yep looks the same as my shorty Nic.
The only way i could see an intake pump being fitted is if you recessed a circular section of the tank enough so that when you cut a hole with a hole saw through to fit the intank pump so that it would suck from closer to the bottom of the tank. You would have to source a vit in-tank pump assembly which I can get here in Melbs for about $60 with second hand pump. New they are $300 odd with new pump inc. You would also have to modify/plate the opening with a smooth material so that the tank bolt plate has something to mate up smoothly to fuel proof it.
I guess it can be done, but is it worth the effort rather than finding an EFI tank. It would be easier to fit a SWB Vit EFI tank than mod a carby sierra one. I've just made up mounts recently to fit my efi swb vit tank. 50x50x3 rhs cut to fit tube crossmember with captive nuts and plated the underside of the shock member in two places and used longer rhs welded on with captive nuts. pretty easy and I'm no wiz with the welder. probably stronger than stock.

Sweet thanks dank.
I was thinking along the lines of how the coily has a removable sender, ie: taking the sierra one out and then dropping one in there but mmm, have to do some looking i think. (Getting this tank for a carton of teds) will do for now at least but have a tank at home to play with.
Do u have pics of what u done?
Also anyone got pics of a vit in tank pump assembly?

I can get you pics of what I have done but will be a few days as the zook is out at my folks place. I was there last night but didn't get pics. Its pretty simple, but a little crude/booty fab. My welding is not pretty. Still trying to find good amp levels with different thickness electrodes.
I'll send you somes pics when I can of the in tank assembly as well. I'm thinking the diameter is larger than the sender hole off the top of my head.

Yeh sweet, that be fine.
at least to get an idea be great,
u got the body off to do that or from underneath? and you running a BL?

body off at the momet due to multiple issues, engine box swap, shock mount mods, tranny lift, fuel tank, lots easier! Running a 2" BL.
I think it wouldn't be a problem welding the rear mounts with body on but might be a bit tight trying to weld underneath with body on. Next to impossible with an Arc welder I reckon but maybe with a mig.
