80 Series body lift help

dose anyone know what mods you have to do to lift an 80 series 2" with body blocks

put blocks in. also check steering column as it may need extension.

also rear back is tricky as it bolts to the chassie and the body, but appart from that its a peice of piss

Yeah the rear bar and front bar need some finessing or it just looks wrong.

Are there any issues with the gear sticks?? its a manual.

Yes, the low range stick needs lifting or it rubs hard on the floor and the gearbox stick needs bending or it'll pop out of gear 3rd mainly iirc.

I massaged the body around the low range lever with the BFH. As said, no other real dramas involved. Also had to trim the fan shroud a little.

I twisted the High/Low range lever off then heated it up and bent it forward then put it back on. Good as new. It just wouldnt go in to low range at all without doing that.

every cruiser must be different as i had no need to modify the gear levers or surround. I did however drop the radiator, and made a steering shaft extension, otherwise there were no other modifications.

Yeh, off memory I had to loosen the steering shaft spline and let it slip a few mm.

I have heard the same, I also dropped the radiator and made a steering shaft extension out of aluminium.
