Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi All
I am a new user to this site, and am after some info on clutches for a 4.2 turbo diesel gu patrol wagon.
I currently have the standard clutch and am starting to get some slippage. I am planning on doing some touring in this vehical towards the end of the year towing a trailer.
My question is should i stick with the standard Nissan clutch or should i go for a after market option???????
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Go after market. Something heavy duty, 4terrain, exceedy are two of the better options. This will last much longer than the standard clutch.

safari tuff clutches are good, I have a nissan/isuzu hybrid made by Nicks performance clutches. Talk to Doug at NPC he is a clutch guru 3277 9403

The nissan/isuzu is still as light as standard but will hold 37" tyres turning on the road. The RPM heavy duty lasted 45 seconds and fryed.

I had done the same, went to a place that specialises in aftermarket and heavy duty clutches, they sold me a h/duty kit which comprised of either an Isuzu pressure or clutch plate, (can't remember which).

Bearing in mind i'm in NZ and this is kiwi dollars but for comparisons sake the heavy duty kit (clutch/pressure plate, thrust bearing and machining of flywheel) can be had for $540.00, doesn't include fitting
