GQ 91 front steering 'shimmy' at 60kms

Does or has anyone got this issue with their patrol... wearing tire killing drag links and everything else

Yep they all wear out and you have to replace them do the same on the GU as well

so whats thc cause... was fully rebuilt 18 months ago.... new everything....
i'm out of ideas and patients

where would you be looking if the 'shimmy' was enough to almost pull the steering wheel from your hands. Also, not consistent, sometimes will sometimes won't speed not always the same but always about 50km/h

Mine does it at 70kays......new bushes have helped just need to do panhard with new ones bushes and should be all sorted out.

Incorrect swivel bearing preload can also cause it a lot too, try removing a shim from either side as well as checking out panhard bushes and I'd be surprised if that didn't help a great deal.
