the lift is is closer... still not sure which way (FJ40)?

yo....

the lift of the old fj40 is coming closer... tho i am still not sure which way to lift it... not sure if i want to go SOA alround or spring over in the back and reverse shackle up the front....

anyone who maybe have done these could you please give me some pro's and con's or maybe just tell me which is better way to go?

Spoa front and rear with the shackle reversal , using your current springs in the spoa

Yup, do it to front and rear. + spring reversal... finally it then works as it should. But if you're gonna do that then you better do power steering too... and if you're gonna do all that then you might as well get bigger tyres... ahh, where does it end? :D

yeh SPOA is the way i really want to go... just i dont have the cash nor the facilities to get the whole lot done just yet...

if anyone wants to give me a 60's series power steering box you are more then welcome. :twisted:

I would say spring over is what you want and its tryed and tested just don't go over the top keep it real . Work out what you want at the end of it like steering etc and just start collecting all you need as you can find it at the right price . after you have got every thing together work out how you are going to build it buy getting quotes to do some or all of the work for you . This way you won't get one big bill that is going to hurt so much . Remember you need more than just a 60 serries box plus yours is a LX so should have factory P/S and you will get $1000 for that if 100 percent complete . I all but gave mine away then found out they are worth something live and learn .
