HELP needed with Hilux 22R Wiring Issue...Need to fix ASAP

Post by Toyo Truck »

Hey Guys,

This is killin me
Been trying to work it out for weeks, wanted to wheel this thing over
Aus day long weekend but running out of time and I thought maybe
someone had this issue before? and on of you blokes might know?

Got this electrical problem with the luxie
If I flex the passenger side up, no wukkers.
Anytime I flex the drivers wheel up into the guard it blows my ignition
fuse?!?
So I loose the dash lights, tacho, clock, stereo, etc.
THEN
if I rev it up past about 3000Rpm, it all lights back up stereo comes
back on, tacho, clock, etc? (HOW does that work?? LOL)
BUT, the starter motor will not start the car like this!! leaving me stuck
if I stall (This REALLLY SUCKS) can I bypass the IGN to the starter
motor as a last resort? Rhys MUD80D said there is some comp trick
they use for this??

Then like clockwork, I go round and check the 60AMP square fuse in
the engine bay and its blown?

If I replace it, I start up fine, and drive fine until I flex that wheel back
up and BANG she goes again??!!

There are no wires touching the wheel, and no wires anywhere near
the wheel that are exposed or touching anything
SO WHAT GIVES!!
Its driving me crazy cause I just got back into wheeling it again,
and now this crap.

Cheers boys if you can help me out.
And get the luxie back where it belongs...on the rocks!

Bart
