80 series bonnet won't open

Anyone else expereinced this? The DS rear corner (closest to the windscreen) is now sitting slightly high, and as I try to open the bonnet, the corner drops and catches the cowler vent near the wiper, making it a 2 man job to open the damn thing.

I haven't hit anything, it's been in the shed for weeks coz of my crook back. Found the problem when I tried to check under the bonnet before moving it.

It's a 91 model, <250k. I can't see any cracks around the body mounts or other obvious cause

??????

i would suspect that the hinge may have siezed and now bent out of shape
the hinge is fairly light construction where it secures to the body so could bend easily, compare it to the passenger side.

I got called to the Transport yard one day to retrieve a Hilux with a damaged bonnet. It seems a drunken Driver had attempted to open the bonnet with a forklift late at night, after failing to figure out how the catch worked....

I was guessing a bent hinge or wear in the mount.
