i have top and bottom done, was easy to do it while it was apart then pull it back apart to do it again, or risk bending when it might not have

did you grind the chrome plating off the knuckle before welding ?
doesnt look like the weld penetrated on the actual knuckle just stuck to the metal plate

cheers for that thommo

Spazbot,

I had the welder cranked to 180apms so plenty of penetration.

What u see on the top is a weld pool i dragged around the end so it doesn't crack.

Cheers fellas

Thats the weld that hasn't penetrated though and with some flexing will may crack between it and the ball. The weld just about sits on the brace anyway which is why the heat hasn't gone into the ball.

Slunnie,

under that weld is my first run that penetrated right in, i put the one you see around the corners of the brace so its a rounded corner and wont crack.

It wouldn't hurt to put one one the bottom. It does look like your to close, especially if your running Rock Rings.

im with you on the welds Z, the C'n'T look fine to me, and i have gone over most of mine the same way after the first pass.

and finally someone how knows the pain of grinding a 70 housing clean.
