modded zook problems.

Post by phils.zook.on33's »

hey all. im currently puttin yota diffs under my zook and now have an issue with the steering. im running jimny power steering and superior cross over steering setup and can't obtain a full turning circle. i know it caused by the pitman arm is to short. my question is if there is a another pitman arm that i could exchange with that is longer and the same spline and taper as the jimny box?
ps. i beleive it needs to be round 40mm longer/

any help would be super.

thanks phil

Is the pitman arm indexed on the steering box properly?

Lots have run toy diffs with jimny power or sierra manual steer boxes with standard length pitman arms. Longer arm will increase it's throw, however are you sure that's the problem? Is it the same when turning both left and right?

in neither direction can i obtain full turning circle.. if the pitman arm was not centred i should atleast get 1 side full lock. i measured the pitman arm and its 120mm long centre to centre and the crossover arms on the diff are round 150- 160mm in length.
