Hey guys im in the process of supercharging my g13b , i in the middle of rebuilding it to handle the extra power ( for awhile at least ) ,
I have look thru the BIBLE but i cant find the info i need on the vaccum lines.
I'm using a toyota SC14 supercharger but cant figure out where the V/lines are ment to go ,
i will be using a vitara 8V injection manifold to control the fuel along with a bypass valve for the incoming air so that i can switch of the S/C , it has a elec clucth on it.
any help on this would be great
Cheers Whitey

All those tubes need to connected to each other and then to the outlet side of the blower , they provide equal pressure to the seals on both sides so they don't blow the seals. I used two 5/16 tees to join them up and then to the oulet side as one pipe , Cheers Paul.

Out of interest, why would you want to switch off the supercharger.

Id totally bypass that and go constant.

im supercharging mine g13b dohc. all i need is the supercharger so if i had $200 i would probally buy that sc12. im leaning more towards the sc14 supercharger any ways as its bigger.

The reason i want to be able to bypas the S/C is that if for some reason it went wrong i.e snapped belt , i should still be able to drive the car

Paul did you use the whole manifold off the swift or just the throtle body injection ?
also i read your build and was wondering how you set up the blow of valve to work .
cheers whitey

Sorry mate, not questioning, but enquiring, as I don't know.

If you broke a fan belt on a solid start/constant or an electric clutched supercharger, wouldn't the air still go thru the blower, and so no difference.

I have heard a lot of these electric clutched blowers and cannot get my head around the reason for them.

I plan to use a elec exhaust valve that some of the ricers use to lower the exhaust noise , anyway its like a butterfly from a carby except that its operated via elec signal, i will mount it so that it closes the inlet pipe to the S/C and runs the air thru another pipe to the inlet side of the inlet manifold therfore bypasing the whole S/C , its only an idea at the moment but i think it will work , and could save me from being stuck in the middle of nowhere - wich i dont want as nobody i know has a vehicle even close to being as capable as the zook, wich means no recovery.
any other Q's just ask

Ahh, now I get your thinking.

Sorry if this is too basic, but wouldn't it be easier to carry a cuppla spares, seems an awful lot of engineering, and the more of that the more chances of stuff ups.

By the way, I used to live in Busselton in the early 70s, was a commercial fisherman out of Dunsborough, before it even had a pub, lovely neck of the woods.

I plan to carry spare belts but as i dont want to overload the drive pulleys when driving thru deep water i want to be able to turn of the S/C and still be able to drive. The current wading depth i have worked out is about 1.4m and thats without the snorkle , with a snorkle it should be just over 2m deep. but as i said in a prev post its still just an idea.

I know about MK1 computors, I know they are useless for mods compared to the MK2/3 which have plug in chips available for just about any mod or boosted setup concievable. If like me and you have a MK1 then you will need an aftermarket computor to modify it.
