Just wondering on the price of converting a wagon to a ute.
Also how big of a job is swaping a non turbo motor to a factory turbo.
Cheers

I've had a few quotes on a cut - about $6000 to convert an 80 series to a ute or extra cab.
$4000 to convert it to a duel cab - a lot less work apparently.
Can't answer your motor question.

Are you doing this for a comp truck or as a driver?
I have an 80 and would like to do this as opposed to spending big bucks to get a trayback. Will be going to the panel beaters tomorrow to ask how much.

I'd be talking to someone that specialises in it - Creative Conversions or 2DExtreme

I had my wagon cut down in 2007 and I am more than happy with the job that was done by Clint at MYLUX creations. His number is 0419 885 020. He is worth talking to. if you would like to see his work I would be able to email you a couple of photos.

Rang RWV in Cairns today.
Drive in drive out would set you back $11300 they reckon and still have to pay for a tray.
Looking for a cruiser ute now.
