Setting up carbies on 3.5 Rover

I was planning on firing up my conversion this afternoon, but have ran into some problems setting up the carbies :oops: DUMB ASS :oops:

Anyway I was hoping someone might point me in the right direction as to whats what with Twin CD's. I have no Idea here and I need to know which is the fuel supply inlet, which is the return etc etc.

I was hoping that someone might also be able to identify the different points I have marked in the pic

A is fuel return
B is a water line that you can just block as it is only to heat the top of the intake.
C is fuel supply
D are just vent tubes that can be plumbed into the Airfilter.

Dont know whether things are fubar or what but when I set it up like you say I still get fuel pouring out of the vent pipes. I have blocked it off for now and no more fuel pouring out. Battery flat now, so will have to wait till tommorrow to try again. Thought the electrical probs were solved, but something else is not right. Very weak spark from the coil and I know the coil is good. Anyway, Ive got time now to clean all the terminals while I wait for the baterry to charge

If fuel is comming out the vent tubes you have either got to much fuel pressure. Or sticky needle and seats.

What are you using for a fuel pump.

Using a Inline electric pump. I was actually worried it want going to deliver enough fuel. I couldnt tell you what it was off though. I will check out the needle and seat

Is it an EFI pump?

No it is not efi pump. Bought it from the wreckers and told em what I wanted it for. He was pretty particular about what for, etc etc so that it was suitable. Doesnt mean it is, but I am fairly certain it should be okay. I might try restrict the flow a bit tommorrow and see it it helps

I would say its Needle and Seats then. Give the carbs a few taps with the handle of a screwdriver it may unstick them.

I run 2 fuel pumps with no problems.
