Oil Pressure.

Post by Feenz »

Ok I normally would search for this, but the search function keeps saying no topics. Even on stuff i know is there ? crap.

Ok, my td42 GQ oil pressure light will slowly come on, starting faintly and taking a few minutes to reach full brightness. The thing is it takes about 10 min from cold to do this and about 5 min if its been running. Also if I shut it down and start it again while driving the light goes away and takes 5 min to come back.

Before I start buying a new switch, relief vvl, or hopefully not a pump, has anyone had the same problem? Easy fix, only the px switch?

1. get a gauge
2. replace the switch.

do these in either order, but i would highly recomend doing both.

seriously, drop into a mechanic and get him to hook his gauge up to your car for a diagnosis or buy one and do it yourself, Nissan oil pressure senders are rubbish...but that doesn't mean yours is
