Does anyone know if there is a way to water proof my starter motor? I have recently found out that it doesn't like to swim. It's starting to get annoying and expensive as i have fried it 3 times so far.

I have heard of people running air lines to them to somewhat pressurise them. Since they are open you would need quite a flow of constant air.
Have no personal experience with this, but the dizzy on my Jeep is pressurised. Air is sourced from from a little 12v hairdryer wired to switch on the dash with the air ducted into the top of the dizzy by way of cheap clear plastic tubing.
