Don't hold back speak your mind on the pros and cons of both motors going into a patrol. And not at the same time. :)

just to clarify we talking about the quad cam motor from the fords right?

They're quite large although thats not really a problem for some people, just saying that could be a con. Ls1's are less complicated (pro)

they dont even use the ford v8 in comparos with the 5.7, they use the turbo6. i think heres a lot more on the market for the 5.7 and that means things are cheaper.

HMM a truck bottom end with cobra heads, = FAIL.

i'm a ford man %100 and i still voted for the holden.

if you want Ford, start with a 351 windsor bottom end add 427 cube stroker kit and good alloy heads.
