The A/C compressoron my 60 has shat itself, anyone purchased a reco compressor?? what was your opinion of it and cost. Thanks :oops:

When you say it "shat itself" what has it done or is it doing? They are not very dear to put a kit through.

The guys who checked it out rekon the compressor is ruuted internals very noisy and has lost gas, its more than a front bearing and seal

ask around but sometimes its cheaper just to buy a new comp then to get a reco one

Also genuine can be quite reasonable on price for compressors. I know holden are cheaper than aftermarket when it comes to A\C.

Maybe, but its worth a phone call. I've been surprised many a time with the price of SOME genuine parts with all makes.

Ive been quoted a figure of $800. $900 for a new comp. flush, dryer, nipples and regas vechile value is only about 4 times this figure thats why the question????????????????????? Anybody :cry:
