Rear is always a good place to start, then save up your $$ for the front one

personally i'd go for a locker in the front, its where the weight is and also you can drive over an obstical with the front locked whereas with a rear you will be trying to push over it.

ok, does the lux have an LSD in the rear? and is it working? if its working well at the moment, id say chuck it up front, if not, id be heading towards the rear locker going up hill with front locker only isnt going to help much as all the weight is heading over the rear, so its up too you......

i would say front first if u want ARB front and rear but if u dont really mind i would go rear then weld the front

aza's opinion is of course formed by his absolute wealth of offroad driving experience.
you will break less and drive further, on average, with just a rear locker. there are situations where a front locker is better value but they are few.
the deciding factor should be, of course, the ability to do cool 2WD locker donuts in wet carparks

if i was to put one in the bundy it would be in the front, coz there is LSD in rear, even with an open in the back i would probably go front, just going on my experiences on the track.

I would say Front as it does tend to pull you over obsticles rather than push. But on the downside, a locker in the front can also spit you sideways faster than you can imagine. Whereas a rear tends to keep you straighter. I've got a locker in the front of my 80 series and the rear is LSD but may as well be open. A Mate has front and rear in his 80 series and while just the rear locker does not get him as far as I get with my front locker, it is much safer in that it keeps him straighter and does not tend to spit him sideways as much. Then he presses the other button and away he goes again.

Get rear first as Hilux LSD,s are pretty weak anyway. Then get front.I got both at once and that made abig difference.

have to agree -rear 1st. Consider a lock right locker. I use them in my hilux's-work well. 1/2 the price of an airlocker.
