Im thinking of getting some 35" silverstone mt117 extremes as a second set of tyres for my troopy. Just curious if anybody know if these will slot in under stock suspension... The rig is a 94 hzj75 rv (troopy as mentioned)
Ive heard that the silverstone 35s are inbetween 34 and 35", heres for hoping

I think the silverstones might even be under 34"
I had a set of 34x11.5" jungle trekker II's (which measure closer to 35") under my troopy with stock springs. The springs had been reset by previous owner but i think the front has sagged back to near stock height. They did rub in the top of the front guards but not enough to worry about. Also rubbed on the front springs (wind out steering stops a little).
The rear of my troopy doesn't flex but they also managed to rub on the inside of the rear guard (again nothing to worry about). I was running toyota offset 16x8" dynamic rims. Some extra offset or a small spacer in the rear would probably help.

The silverstone xtreme 35's I have seen are between a 33 and a 34.
My 33's were a neat 31" when new.

run 15'' rims too, they have a little extra offset, mainly depends how flexy your suspension is. If it hardly moves you will have minimal issues. If its flexy you will have problems.

2" body lift should get you largely clear

35's will most likely scrub... My 33's scrub before hitting bump stops when the flexes up. The front has new springs and doesnt flex much yet but probably same problem if the flex up good. Oh and mine is 2" spring lift all round.
Also you have to think about gearing. I noticed a considerable difference when I fitted 33's (originally 31's too). I do run 33's all the time though but the revs will need to be alot higher with 35's just to get it even going. However if yours is turbo that might help matters. Mine is not :(
Hope that helps.
