Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Just a question, is the intercooler fan ment to be running all the time or does it only come on sometimes?
and does anyone have a wiring diagram for it as my repair manual does not.

The fan runs on a temp switch in the intake from my memory will only come on when the intake air reaches a certain temp.
