hey guys got the gq up and running with the vr commodore v8 efi

problem is the engine light comes on after about 2 minutes of driving, it uses heaps of fuel and blows black smoke.

the fuel pressure is 40psi (270kpa) within spec

everything else seems to be in order, everything is connected, no vacuume leaks.

any ideas??

not running a speed sensor thinking this may have somthing to do with it?
any help would be great. thanks

speed sensor will not make that much difference.

Things to check would be MAP sensor, coolant temp sensor, and possibly injectors sticking open.

Maybe get fault codes checked
