I assume he means Either the MT Classic locks or The AR rims with the fake beadlock rim

Some pics would be nice though ;)

Ring a mickey thompson dealer and get a quote for your set up. Have you converted these rims to real beadlocks or are these classis lock rims?

Ummm by that picture it's still the imitation beadlock.

A rough retail/ insurance price on these rims and tyres for a set of 4 - $5200.00.

Cheers,

Well they are illegal for road use so theres no point getting them insured. Who coverted them in to real beadlocks and how much did it cost?

Below is pic of the classic lock it has a large bolt on SIMULATED bead lock ring.

I am led to believe (i might be wrong) that insurance will only cover legal mods so unless you have your car engineered to run 37" tyres on 18" bead locked rims you will be out off luck on the insurance side of things and they may knock back any clame you make in regards to a vehicle if you run illegal equpment on it that may have contributed to any accident you have had ie increased stopping distance from bigger tyres.

I run 35" tyres on mine.... not really legal (but we seem to get awayway with it) so it is a risk alot of 4x4 guys take, including me

oh what did you pay for them?
and if you decide they are to much of a hasle let me know I can swap for a legal set of 31" at's on crap steal rims

Lancefield is Qld??

37's are illlegal in Qld, and are they 18x10's?
If so, they will be too.

found my own answer it seems qld is only bothered by how wide tyres are but not by how tall they are (learn something new everyday)
seems strange to me cause larger diamiter tyre will have an afect on brake proformance and last time i checked brakes play a major role in accident provention

Not sure where you get that idea from :?

33" tyres are about as big as you can legally run in Qld.

In Qld it is only a 15mm incease in tyre diameter so 33s are also illegal on a lot of vehicles ;)

Also unless those rims have internal beadlocks fitted they are fake.

37's are still illegal, as are 18x10's if they are 10's.
Good chance the lift is if its over 3inch unless engineered.

the car has 5 inch tuff dog lift kit on it. we got a genuin rwc certificate for it last week and it passed with ease bar from the handbrake light not working. nothing was mentioned about the lift kit and the tyre size or rims.
