Outer Limits 4x4 Board

i have a ln106 hilux and was wondring what would cause the speedo cable to detach from the connector at the gearbox.also the tip of the cable has been turned 180degrees back on itself. if any one knows what would cause this or have a spare cable in the newcstle area they want to sell feel free to pm me.
