differance between 81 lux and 84 on lux chassis

is there any differance between the early (81-83) lux chassis and later (84 on) chassis as i would like get a new chassis for mine (81 model) as it has rust in the chassis and if they are the same that means that i can bolt my cab on to it

Yep, Cab mounts will be different as the width of the chasis is different. Alot of work would be involved to do a cab swap if thats what you are getting at.

he is right to a point the diffrence is the cab mounts only the chassis are the same width
it can be swapped but the front mounts take the most modifying and the engine bays are shorter in the early hiluxs

the engine bays are smaller i know but did you realise it is only 25mm difference between the two

Gearbox mounting is different between the 4 and 5 speeds.
