some tires are undersized.
claws are a perfect example..
some are also oversized
simex is another good example

Rim width will not affect the fact that the carcass diameter is only 34-35"

Lesson101: take a tapemeasure when looking at tyres.
I can fit some "33's" on a vehicle with a hard limit of 31.5 (bodymount point on chassis under full compression and half steeringlock).

Bad luck mate. My stepfather was spewin with his Claws as they were supose to be 33 and were only 31.5. Where as my Swampers measure nearly 34" (33x12.5x15 on 8"rim)when new. They are nearly 2" taller than crappy MTRs on the same rims too. Definetly helps to double check the true hieght not the bullsh#t they tell ya! hope the shop helps ya out!

was just curious to see what he was using as i want a 10inch rim but some are saying 9 is fine. I think i'll go with 10inch..

You'd think most 15's and paricularly tyres with imperial clasifications would be what they are supposed to be. However most of the metric 16's are only rough and close conversions. I've never really cared but my mate was similarily pissed when his new gen BFG muds (315/75x16) were only 34" compared to his old ones which were 35. Came to measure my MTZ's and they are only 34" as well.

i dont get that... why go for a wide rim with a similarly wide tire??? do you like popping beads? (beadlocks excluded)
i personally prefer a narrower rim to tire...

i think he meant 15x8 rim and the 14.5 inch tyres

Rim width will not affect the fact that the carcass diameter is only 34-35"
actually when you install it on a smaller rim, teh middle of the tread baloons and makes the tyre a bit taller in the middle.

yes i did, they only brought out the 14.5" tyre to suit a 15" rim.

I just went down to my shed & measured my 37" Creepy's & they measured 36.25". My tyres are not new but still have plenty of tread left on them. They are mounted to 16x8 rims

this is pretty much false advertising.
They should be labeling them as 35's. They are obviously just doing it to scam people.
