Poor steering control

Hi all,

I have a NH Pajero and am just wondering if anyone has any experience with the steering in these. In the time Ive had it, Ive replaced nearly everything in the front end, including shocks, tie rods, steering box and ball joints.

The problem is the steering has always been a bit vague and requires a bit of effort to drive straight with. The steering box is reconditioned so there is no freeplay in the steering, so any ideas on what else could be causing it to give that wandering / vague feel?

Thanks

have you been taking it to the same place to get your wheel alignments after you changed all those parts? or doing it yourself?

Ive taken it to a couple of different wheel aligners to see if it had anything to do with the wheel alignment.

Check the bushes in your rear suspension control arms. If they get a little bit loose the rear axle can "steer" the vehicle, as it moves in the bushes.

The rear control arm bushes have already been done on it :) I think Ive nearly covered everything off and its driving me crazy.

The only thing in the front end which hasnt been done are the sway bar links and suspension arm bushes
