Driveshaft spacer - at diff or at t/case?

I need to fit a shaft spacer to my front shaft. Would i fit it to the diff side or the t/case side? and why?

I reckon Tcase end, just so there is one less thing to rub on rocks...

i have my spacer at the diff end, but only because off the better access for the rattle gun.

Do you rattle the bolts on?

So there is no 'correct way' just whatever you feel is best?

Put it on the transfer end as it will help with clearence of the cross member at droop.
