fj45 lsd

ive herd that u can stick an 80 series lsd in a fj45 diff
does anyone know if its a strait fit or are mod needed

Yep, as far as I know its a straight swap. Tailshaft flange bolt patten might not match though. But why would you bother? Toyo LSDs are useless. Better off leaving your open centre in there till you can afford a locker.

I tightened mine (hilux not 80) didnt do fark all.

Yeah you can pack the clutches and tighten them up. Probably work for a few months till they start to slip again. Waste of time and money. I reckon save for a locker and do it properly.

i had my lsd in my 80 tightened....
it was chirping around corners etc...
for about 2000kms...
then useless

thanks guys , i think ill save it 4 a locker
