my j tops battery just seems to have gone instantly dead no reds no nothing, i get a buzzing sound coming from 2 solenoids the fuse box next to the battery..when i connect a jumpstarter it starts and the buzzing sound goes away. the alternator is charging the battery seems to be fine and only about 2 yeares old i checked the cells and none seem to be blown or smell funny ect......is there a common problem that could be causing a short out in the battery or causes something to draw power??...... i let it run today for a bit and it did not hold any charge whatsoever....maybe it just needs a new batterry..just that buzzing sound seems fishy to me???it is not a shorting out sound its an actual buzz..thz guys and galz

I have had this happen. We woke up one morning and went to the shops is our car, all was normal. 5 minutes later when we came out the car had absolutly no power. No fuses were blown, tha battery just died. We bought a new battery and its been right as rain ever since.

Yep happened to me about 6 months ago, royal pain in the arse.
Old battery was only about a year old and was good quality, new one works sweet as though.

was a little low on water i think

i topped it up and put it on charge and ill see what happens with it if it holds charge ill keep it as a spare for something but the new battery is much better anyway......all the auxillarys seem to have stronger power eg lights ect....the other one was not even a 4x4 battery.......

if it holds charge u might want to consider using it as part of a dual battery system?
