Lowering rpm

Hey,
Just wondering what diff ratios are on the 78 series tray back, i got the 1hz, its a 2002 aswell.
I am wondering what can be done without going to extremes to lower the RPM at 100k's. I have 275/70/16s on there at the moment and it just rev's a little hard on the highways.
thanks

2500 give or take a few.
I just seems like it going through the fuel and reving its tits off?

go up a size in tyre if they will fit, 1 inch diameter will reduce your revs by about 750 rpm.
so going from your 31's to 33's would reduce it by 1500 down to 2350.
diff gears arent too cheap which is another option.
can a gearbox gear be swapped out?
either way a set of tyres would probably be the cheapest option and least effort IMO. and an excuse to go to 33's

I run 35's on my ute it revs at about 2200 roughly but use's more fuel because it's working harder to turn the tyre's doesn't seem tomake sense but that's what happens. a mate of mine runs 35's on his 75 and he put reduction gears in, think he went to 4.8's instead of 4.11 or whatever it is standard and it revs higher but use's less fuel and is better off road

Diff gears will set you back about $550 per diff providing that you can fit them on your own with the backlash etc. if you did want to go higher. my mate got his from marks 4wd adapture's that or terrain tamers are a good brand also
