So what parts do people use on their rigs?

For my brakes I shop online at www.discpads.com it's an aussie site with a bit of choice and descent prices. Got pads from their recently (bendix ones) and they are great. Tried to get new disc's for the front yesterday but there are none in the country!! doh... For the clips to hold the pads I had to go genuine, and they aren't cheap! Cost about $60-$70 for the set.

Also trying to find some new leads, think they sell them at marlows.com.au Supercheap never have em although they do have the sparks, oil filter etc.

I'll update this post tonight with info on where to get new bushes for the idler arm on the Feroza, only cost $20.

I've got a couple of sites in my favorites at home that I'll post later sometime. I'm pretty sure one is for Magnecor ignition leads, and there's one site that has timing belts, filters etc online to suit too.

If you're after discs go to the DBA site www.dba.com.au, in particular this page http://www.dba.com.au/catalogue/pdf/daihatsu.pdf and you'll find both solid and ventilated slotted and crossdrilled discs to suit the Feroza.

Thanks for the info. DBA is where that other website get their rotors from...DBA are all out and the replacements aren't on a ship yet...doh

Hmmm... I thought DBA made all their own gear here in Australia- or do you mean interstate shipping?

I also noticed the site you posted didn't mention anything about the availability of cross drilled/ slotted rotors they make to suit?

Those Bendix pads you got, are they the Metal King variety? I think mine are a bit low from what I can see through the wheels......

Well probably forget about that Ausmart link up higher- they wanted $55 for a Dayco timing belt (plus freight no doubt), a genuine Daihatsu one from the dealer is $53. Some other genuine prices I was quoted- alternator belt $15, top radiator hose $23.

It pays to check with Daihatsu first as some genuine parts are reasonably priced. :D
