transfer case

Post by PALEALE »

My mate is after some advice on his Landcruiser, its a '86 model with a 12ht diesel, and has the vaccum operated transfer case
The transfer case has died, and he has sourced another one, but it is a manual /lever operated one
can the manual/lever transfer case be converted to vaccum operated, using parts off of his dead transfer case, or will he have to hunt down a vaccum operated one?

check and see if it has the bolt holes on the side where the vac actuator is if not you can drill and tap them to make it fit or replace the transfer case housings from one to the other.
hope this helps
