gel cel batteries from bargain place in ringwood

Anybody else buy any of these deep cycle gel cel batteries? If u did how are they going? Cauz i just bought 1 for my next car.

not sure which place you mean but what size did ya get ?
i got 2 40 ah for $40
from near caulfied
seen and ad yesterday for one near ringwood but lost the address and number

I brought a 2nd hand one the other week for $25. It came out of a secuirty system so has been on trickle charge for the last 6mths.

The one I have wouldn't fit in a std tray. As it is a tad wider and longer by about 15mm.
Will find the size code tonight.

On Maroondah highway, coming from ringwood, right near car city on the left, just go past that and its right next to one of the small holden dealers, before the shell at the next major intersection. If you pass the shell, you've gone to far!!
Sorry dont remember major road, but its off maroondah highway

yeah, thats the 1, petes bargain centre, there are about 50 left, he had 800 a few months ago, and yeah, $35, i tested quite a few with the multimetre, they are all pretty steady on 12.7 volts-ish, even after thsi long being not charged, so they seem alright, don't know how to test em under load though....
