Im going to upgrade my highmount from a 2hp motor to a 6hp warn motor, will these 6hp motors fit or will only the 4.5hp motors fit the older model highmounts??

I've done this and they do fit. This said, I've not run it yet.

I believe they fit fine, but you may need to change a cog inside the tophat from a keyway to a spline. To fit the new motor.

Yep, just get the gear that goes on the motor to suit.

The early motors had a keyway on the shaft, the 6 horse has a spline.

The gear does not cost much form anyone who sells warn parts.

just make sure your battery/charging system is capable of meeting the extra demand.

A 6hp motor gives bragging rights but also requires more battery power to run and may show up a weak battery whereas the 2.5 would be happy to continue running.

Towards the bottom of this page http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/8274/ it shows the serial numbers to which model you have.
