Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Ok, so I have a 3L turbo diesel in my lux. The standard earbox has shart itself with just under 400 000klms on it

Question I have is what kind of gearbox is behind a 3y normally? A mate has a parts 4runner in his backyard. Hoping somebody can tell me if the box out of the runner will swap into mine?

i searched bu couldnt fine anything.

If both trucks are leaf sprung front ends than yes they will fit.

early 4runner box will fit it should look the same if it doesnt it is not
