Bullbar for Suzuki Vitara: Worth spending the money for ARB?

Hi Guys,
I am looking at buying a bull bar for my suzuki vitara 2L, SWB 98 model.
Is it worth paying the money to get an ARB bull bar? or should i just look for a cheaper alternative?
Would the bullbar greatly reduce my approach angle as well? Or would it be around the same?

On another note. What do you guys think the best colour would be to get? Just stick with the black or go sliver / chrome like the car body.

Haven't really got any decent pictures, however this car is virtually the same, except mine is a soft top. Same colour however.

Thanks in advance.

ARB don't make a bar for the 2 litre swb, it has a different front chassis.

Nice Vitara :finger:

Joeblow, How hard would it be to adapt one from the EFI LWB?

the lwb one would be the one to use as it has a seperate 'cradle' that then bolts to the bar. from looking at my v6 estate it seems you would have to make a wider cradle and work out some extra fastening points. also if you have flares they will sit a little further out than the bar.

buy it & let me know how you get on, that pic you posted is my zook!

if it doesn't fit, sell it to me for a highly discounted price as it will be 2nd hand.

I think you will find that Joe is right. He is quite well connected at ARB.

If it fits your model I would get one.

The bar will not reduce your approach angle, it will give you more.

I decided to get a custom made bullbar.
Has anyone had any issues with getting the car registered with such a heavy modification?

If it's bolted on and meets the regs in your state in regards to radius of edges, no sharp corners etc it will be fine.
