Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Looking to alter wheelbase on my lux by moving rear axle further back.

Moving diff 4" - 5" rearwards would be ideal.

Then need to lengthen propshaft.

Was thinking I could save some hassle by using propshaft from another Hilux, maybe early or late Extra cab or even another type of vehicle, eg Cruiser and lengthen the wheelbase to suit.

Had my eye on either the 84 -89, or 89- 97 extra cab propshafts. Anyone know how what wheelbase these were running standard?

i had a 10/86 extra cab it was 114'' wheel base. if that helps.it had a two piece tail shaft with centre bearing. but u would be better of getting a second front shaft & extend it. i keeped chewing out the centre bearing in mine with a std 4cyl & 3'' springs. then fitterd 4cyl turbo & later v6 turbo 7'' spring lift with front shaft mod, heaps better after that.

my cruiser rear tailshaft is shorter than my mates dualcab hilux by about 180mm.

so i dont think this option will work.
