hi guys has anyone specificly fitted a 50mm lift kit in a 2008 nissan D22 STR dual cab lately and if so what brand, what components, and did it make any difference or is it hardly noticable at all. Thinking of fitting one in bit i would rather spend the doe on something else if there isn't much change, cheers steve. :?:

all you need is to add a leaf. D22's are well known for poor rear springs which sag rather quickly with any decent load on them.
either replace the whole spring pack or just get an extra leaf fitted. we had custom made ones, added another full main spring.
once done simply wind up the front torsion bars to match (i think you may have to pull them out an rotate them 3(?) notches.)

i put on dobinson springs, bar and shocks. very happy with results. nice lift and rides well. little harder ride then before but removed the nose dive and handles good. has really improved my load carrying ability. cost me $1250 and told me 4 hours to fit, oh had to get a wheel alignment after also.

we havn't bothered with changing shocks. just waiting till the stock ones fail.
the ride in ours is a lot softer than stock. no more banging or jarring from hitting potholes. it is a lot more comfortable ride and even with 1 ton load on it hasn't hit the bump stops yet.
